Box Score

Somerville, MA - The Suffolk University Men's Soccer team pushed their record to 3-0 to start the 2009 season defeating Wheelock College, 8-0 on Monday evening. It took the Rams just 79 seconds to score their first goal, as freshman Ben Rollins (Lee, NH) scored on a nice cross pass from sophomore Danny Lloyd (Tegucigalpa, Honduras). Senior Arman Palian (Belmont, MA) finished the game with two goals and two assists, while junior Luis Flores (Madrid, Spain) also put home a pair of goals. Senior Bernhard Lotterer (Lima, Peru) had a goal and two assists for the Rams.

The team speed of the Rams proved to be too much for Wheelock, as Suffolk had a total of 64 shots in the game.

Overshadowed by the offensive output of the Rams, was Wildcats' goalkeeper Victor Kashoush (Providence, RI) who made 29 saves in the loss. Kashoush was under pressure all night from the Rams, and at time was the busiest man on the field. The 29 saves is the most of any NCAA Division-III men's soccer goalkeeper since 2007, and is tied for the 15th most in one game by a single player.

Six different players for the Rams scored goals on the evening, while the Rams had 14 players register on a shot on goal in the match.

The game was the first ever NCAA varsity Men's Soccer match for Wheelock College.

The Wildcats will be back in action again as they battle Elms College on Saturday. Suffolk is back in action on Thursday as they travel to Newton to take on Lasell College at 4pm. The game is a makeup from this past Saturday's rainout.
