Rams Lose Men's Soccer Game To Lasell

The Lasell College men's soccer team (6-1 GNAC, 7-5 overall) remained on top of the conference standings with a 3-0 road win over Suffolk University (2-3 GNAC, 3-7 overall) Saturday afternoon at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville, Massachusetts.

The play of sophomore forward Dan Hatch and senior forward Zach Gagne told the story for the Lasers as they each tallied two points on the night. Hatch used assists from Robert Gonzalez and Kyle Cronin to make it a 1-0 game just 12 minutes into the contest. Hatch later assisted Gagne in the 22nd minute and Lasell had a 2-0 advantage as the teams broke for halftime.

With the Lasers' stifling defense continuing to give the Rams fits all throughout the second half, Joseph Acuek put the finishing touches on the match with an assist from Gagne in the 84th minute to give Lasell a 3-0 lead and a 4-0 record on the road in conference games this season.

Lasell out shot Suffolk 17-11 on the day. Junior goalkeeper Alex Capousis (Annapolis, MD) earned his second start of the season and made four saves for the Rams. Julian Dutton had three saves for the Lasers.

Suffolk will take on Rivier Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at Dilboy Stadium as they look to get back to the .500 mark in the GNAC this season.
