Four Men’s Soccer Players Honored By GNAC

Junior forward Nick Celia and was named first team All-Conference for men's soccer in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Freshman forward Danny Lloyd earned the GNAC Rookie of the Year honor and a spot on the second team All-GNAC.

Celia, from Hanson, Massachuetts, led his team in points with 14, had five goals and four assists on the season. He had a four-goal game on Oct. 15 against conference opponent Rivier College. In 2006, Celia was named GNAC Rookie of the Year.

Lloyd, from Tegucigalpa, Honduras,  had five goals and three assists on the season. His 5.43 shots per game average for the season ranked him 2nd all-time in GNAC regular season play.

Seniors Clayton Plumer (Cranston, RI) and Cristian Palacios (Lexington, MA) were both named to the third team. Palacios had two goals and five points on the season, while Plumer was the team's most consistent defender. Both players started all 14 games this season for the Rams. Plumer was also named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team.
