BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk men's hockey took an early lead, but No. 14 Endicott tied things up late and capitalized on a power play goal in overtime to take down the Rams, 2-1, in overtime Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

RECORDS: Suffolk (8-7-2, 3-6-1 CNE) | No. 14 Endicott (12-5-0, 9-1-0 CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk broke open the scoreless action with one second left in the middle period. On the power play the Rams dumped the puck into the Gulls zone and Atticus Kelly came out of the net to play it. A blue-and-gold skater intercepted Kelly's pass and kept the action in Endicott's zone. Josh Milso saw an opportunity and shot. Kelly denied it, but Tyler Borys picked up the rebound, brought it behind the cage and found Joe O'Brien in front who chipped it in with one second left to get a 1-0 edge as the teams headed into the second intermission.

The score stood still for the first half of the final period. Endicott saw its best chances when Nolan Leonard went to the penalty box for two minutes for high sticking with 5:39 remaining in regulation. The Gulls took this opportunity to use its timeout to talk things over.

Out of the huddle, CJ Hapward turned aside the only shot he faced over the power play and Milso got in front of another to keep Suffolk's 1-0 lead intact.

Endicott would not go down without a fight and managed to level the playing field with 28 seconds left in regulation thanks to an extra attacker goal by Jack Costnazo.

A penalty cost Suffolk in the extra session as well as Tommy Whitford was whistled for slashing with 1:43 remaining. The Gulls waited for the right time and Andrew Kurapov saw it as he sent the game-winner away at the 3:48 mark.
