BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey steps away from Confernece of New England (CNE) competition Wednesday, Nov. 13 when Worcester State stops by Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference clash.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's hockey avenged its overtime setback yesterday with a 2-0 cleansheet over Wentworth Saturday afternoon at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink to split the Conference of New England home-and-home series with the Leopards.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk split its home-and-home series with Wentworth last weekend to carry a 2-1-0 overall record into Wednesday night. The Rams slipped to the Lancers in overtime, 1-0, before blanking, WIT. Two of the blue-and-gold's tilts this season have been shutouts and two have needed overtime to decide a winner. Suffolk is 1-1-0 in both instances.  

The Rams five goals are off five different sticks in Ralph BerryGavin HavensScott McManusCole Scott and Ryan Webb. Havens is the only skater with multiple points. In addition to his one strike, the sophomore is one of four players to dish out one assist as Shane AdlerJake GraceJosh Milso have set-up one marker this season as well. 

CJ Hapward has played all three games in net. The goaltender sports a 0.98 GAA and a .965 save percentage with a 2-1-0 ledger that features one shutout. 

LANCERS LOOK
Worcester State sits 1-2-0. The Lancers fell to Nichols, 4-1, and Morrisville, 6-2, and beat Assumption, 4-2, in between the setbacks.  

Brigham Neuhold tops the team in goals and points with a pair of strikes and three points. Brian Clougherty and Anders Grongstad have identical two-point stat lines evenly divided between goals (1) and assists (1). 

Wyatt Friedlander started two goals in net. He brings in a 3.60 GAA and a .930 save percentage. Jakub Kubik started one game and holds a 4.00 GAA and .902 save percentage.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Since 2000, Suffolk is 6-5-3 against Worcester State. 
  • The Rams and Lancers met last season, in the consolation contest of the 58th Codfish Bowl. Suffolk fell to the Lancers in that meeting, 3-1, Jan. 6, 2024.
