Men’s Hockey Blanked at Bowdoin, 3-0

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin kept Suffolk men's hockey off the scoreboard, 3-0, Saturday afternoon at Sidney J. Watson Arena in day one action of the Bowdoin Colby Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bowdoin scored once in the first, twice in the second and was held scoreless in the third. Suffolk on the other hand could not figure out the Polar Bears' goaltender Kevin Clark, which resulted in a 3-0 cleansheet in Bowdoin's favor.  

NETMINDER NOTES

  • Chris Jackson registered 29 saves in the setback.
  • Clark stopped all 12 shots he faced.  

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

  • Gavin Havens and Joe O'Brien had two shots apiece for the Rams. 
  • Bowdoin outshot Suffolk, 32-12. 
  • The Polar Bears dominated the face off circle, 38-17. 

NOTEWORTHY

  • Suffolk moved to 0-5-0 all-time against Bowdon and 0-2-0 versus the Polar Bears in the Shawn McEachern era. 
  • The Polar Bears have shutout the Rams three times, all of which have come in the last three meetings.
