BIDDEFORD, Maine – Suffolk men's hockey took an early edge it held onto for most of the game, but a last-second strike by No. 11 University of New England tied the game at 1-all and forced overtime where the Nor'Easters netted the game winner to take down the Rams, 2-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at Harold Alfond Forum Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UNE may have outshot Suffolk 20-5 in the first period, but on Suffolk's handful of chances paid off for the blue-and-gold. Kannon Flageolle helped Suffolk maintain the one goal margin through the second stanza as the freshman goaltender turned aside all 15 shots he faced.

The Nor'Easters continued to test Flageolle. The Rams rookie stood up to the challenge and was seconds away from the shutout but a last second snip by Juraj Elias whizzed over the blue-and-gold's goaltender's stick hand shoulder to tie the game with one second left in regulation.

Suffolk started the overtime down a skater due to a late penalty. UNE had momentum on its side and used it to its favor. Ryan Kuzmich fired a shot from the left face off dot 1:22 into the extra session and the puck zoom into the back of the twine to push the Nor'Easters past the Rams, 2-1.
