BIDDEFORD, Maine – Suffolk men's hockey's Ryan Webb took home Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week after his showing in a home-and-home series with Nichols over the weekend, the league office announced Monday.
Webb, a freshman from Rockport, Massachusetts, contributed points in both battles with the Bison. To open the series, the forward supplied one goal and one assist to help the Rams take down Nichols, 6-3. A day later, he chipped in one handout, however, Suffolk took a 4-3 loss.
The weekly award is the first for Suffolk this year and the first to Webb's credit. He is the first Ram to be named the CCC's best rookie over a seven-day stretch since Samuel Rand received the recognition Jan. 31, 2022.
Suffolk is back in action this weekend, Nov. 18-19, with a CCC home-and-home against No. 13 Endicott. The Rams first visit Beverly, Massachusetts Friday at 7 p.m., before battling the Gulls in Eastie at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Saturday at 4:50 p.m.
