Seven Men’s Hockey Players Earn Krampade All-American Scholars

AHCA RELEASE

BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey team had seen skaters honored as Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for the 2019-20 season, the national organization announced.

The Rams have garnered the nod for exceptional results in the classroom since the inception of the award four years ago. Suffolk's seven honorees rank third in the record books ahead of the six student-athletes from 2017-18, while 2016-17 (10) and 2018-19 (11) saw double-digit Rams recognized.

With the non-traditional spring semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AHCA adopted revised criteria for this year's criteria. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for the fall semester and participated in 40 percent of their institution's contests.

Overall, 788 names across Division II-III men and women picked up the feat, joining 571 of their Division I counterparts, which received the distinction a month earlier, to total 1,359 student-athletes. For a full list of honorees, click here
