RamNation has a chance to keep up with all the latest news and notes on Suffolk Athletics, its student-athletes and teams by following the Rams on  Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

SENIOR SALUTE
Prior to Saturday's puck drop against UMass Boston, Suffolk will celebrate its four-member graduating class: captain Brian Brooks, assistant captain Phil KreuserDavid Lappin and Chris Olsson.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's hockey was kept off the scoreboard Saturday as Southern Maine bested the Rams, 4-0, at USM Ice Arena.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Ram Nation will get two final chances to catch Suffolk at home in this season as the 6-13-2 Rams, who are 2-10-2 against conference competition, look to return to the win column in their last pair of home clashes. Half of the blue-and-gold's wins have come in Charlestown, including the team's pair of NEHC victories.

Suffolk has scored 53 goals this season with a foursome of skaters as consistent contributors of the offensive output. Brian Brooks leads the way with team-high numbers in every category with five goals, 10 assists for 15 points. Shawn Montgomery is second on the team with 12 points behind four strikes and eight setups. Devin Lowe (3g, 8a)and Alex Kolowrat (5g, 5a) round out the quartet with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

Cal Wilcox has made his presence known between the pipes. The freshman has assembled a 4.17 GAA and .890 save percentage through 16 games played.

BEACONS BITS
UMass Boston split last weekend, falling to Norwich (5-0) and defeating Castleton (6-3) to head into this week 11-9-1 overall and 7-6-1 in league play. Prior to stopping by Suffolk Saturday, the Beacons make the trip to Johnson & Wales Friday night.

Offensively, there is a core fore to Boston's 96-goal offense in Nolan Redler (17g, 10a), Daniel Nachbaur (6g, 18a), Nick Albano (4g, 19a) and Zack Bross (8g, 13a). That foursome has all eclipsed the 20-point plateau this season with Chris Peters (7g, 12a) and Derek Caruso (8g, 10a) also consistent contributors.

A three-headed netminding contingent buoys the Beacons in net. Sam Best has seen the most time scattered over 10 games and brings in a 2.96 GAA and .890 save percentage. Bailey MacBurnie holds the top numbers of 2.62 GAA and .907 save percentage over nine starts. Nolan Egbert rounds out the trio with a 3.80 GAA and .860 save percentage in six appearances.

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk men's hockey picked up its first NEHC point of the season after skating to a 4-4 draw against UMass Boston Dec. 6, 2019 at Edward T. Barry Ice Rink.
