Men’s Hockey Sees 13 Acknowledged with NEHC All-Academic Nods

2018-19 NEHC MEN'S ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk men's hockey had 13 student-athletes recognized for their efforts in academics, earning a spot on the New England Hockey Conference's (NEHC) 2018-19 All-Academic team, the organization announced Tuesday morning.  

To be eligible for all-academic consideration, a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full-year at their current institution.  

Chris Glionna's Rams, who skated in the NEHC for the first season, combined for a team GPA of 3.27 anchored by their upperclassmen. Of the 13 players who were acknowledged for their academic achievements by the league six were seniors – Nick AbbeneMikhail BryanTommy BishopConnor HenrySean Henry, and Michael Levine – four were sophomores – Matt BucherJack KellyJared McCracken and Joe Vingi – with a pair of juniors – Chris Olsson and Will Ribas– and one grad student, Brendan Heinze, rounding out the Rams honorees.  

At the time of publication, eight of the 10 NEHC institutions were represented with 120 student-athletes in total earning the honor. All eight institutions also saw double-digit honorees. To view a full list of honorees, please click here.
