Bryan Named NEHC Player of the Week

BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey senior captain Mikhail Bryan was honored as the New England Hockey Conference Player of the Week after posting six points in a 1-1 week for the Rams, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Bryan is the first Rams skater to earn the recognition by the conference, while his classmate Michael Levine was recognized twice by the league for his finesse in net this season.

The Dayton, Ohio native opened the week with a personal-best performance of four points to help Suffolk skate past then-No. 12 Hobart, 5-2. He contributed on four of the scores, finding the back of the net twice himself and setting up two other shots to lead the way in the nationally ranked upset. The two helpers matched a career-high as well.

A day later, Bryan put together his second multi-point night with one goal and one handout for a two-point effort in a 4-3 setback to Skidmore.

Bryan is pacing Suffolk's offense this season with 12 points on a team-best eight assists and four goals.

The Rams are now on a three week hiatus for finals and the holidays and will return to the ice after the New Year when they compete at the Boston Landing Tournament. Suffolk gets the tourney going Friday, Jan. 4 at 2:40 p.m. versus Lebanon Valley.
