BOSTON – Coming of a thrilling 1-0 victory over then-No. 13 Norwich, the Suffolk men's hockey team will close out its first semester schedule this weekend as it entertains No. 12 Hobart and Skidmore. The Rams will first welcome Statesmen Friday, Dec. 7, before concluding 2018 action against the Thoroughbreds the following day, Saturday, Dec. 8. Both NEHC contests are set for 7 p.m. puck drops.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's hockey team picked up its first NEHC victory in stunning fashion with a 1-0 shutout over No. 13 Norwich Saturday night at Kreitzberg Arena.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk snapped a five-game skid Saturday with a 1-0 cleansheet over Norwich to move to 3-6-0 on the season and 1-5-0 versus conference competition.
Eric Wright potted the game-winner, his first collegiate goal, to lift Suffolk to victory last Saturday. He is one of 13 skaters responsible for the Rams' 20 goals. Jack Kelly's four leads the way with Tommy Bishop's three sitting second on the squad. Kelly sits atop the team in points as well with seven, while Mikhail Bryan is in a close second with six points on two markers and four assists.
In net Michael Levine has taken on the majority of the responsibility, playing all, but 90 minutes of Suffolk's nine contest. The senior goaltender sports a .922 save percentage and a 2.56 GAA.
STATESMEN STATEMENT
Hobart split action last weekend, falling to UMass Boston, 2-4, and defeating Babson, 6-3, to improve to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in league play.
A trio of skaters has eclipsed the double digit point barrier paced by Jonas Toupal's 16 off a team-best nine goals and seven handouts. Lawson MacDougall, who also set-up seven shots, is second with 11 points with four goals to his credit as well. Zach Sternbach rounds out the threesome with 10 points thanks to a team-high nine assists and one goal.
Three different netminders have seen action for the Statesmen this season. Alexander Connal has the most experience with five games under his belt in which he put together a .898 save percentage and a 3.04 GAA. Liam Lascelle owns the best numbers with a save percentage of .933 and a GAA of 2.00 over three outings. Joe Halstrom has taken the ice just once in which he allowed just one goal for a 1.00 GAA and picked up 27 saves for a .964 save percentage.

THOROUGHBREDS THOUGHTS
Skidmore, who will visit Johnson & Wales Friday night before coming to Charlestown Saturday, has slipped in three straight outings to move to 4-5-1 on the season and 2-3-1 in conference contests.
Matt Muzyka and Brandon Borges anchor the Thoroughbreds 32-goal offense. Muzyka sports a stat line of seven goals and six assists, while Borges boasts three markers and eight handouts for 11 points.
Brandon Kasel has played the bulk of the action in between the pipes for Skidmore. He boasts a 4-4-0 record in nine outings with a 2.75 GAA and a .908 save percentage. Brian Kowalski has put together a 3.45 GAA and a .889 save percentage over two games of action.
