BOSTON – Fresh off a weekend sweep of Becker, the Suffolk men's hockey readies for a weekend home-and-home series with Curry. The Rams will first host the Colonels Friday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink, before traveling to Max Ulin Rink in Milton, Massachusetts, Saturday, Jan. 27 for a 4:50 p.m. match up.

LAST TIME OUT
Thanks to three unanswered goals in the third period, including a pair from Mikhail Bryan, the Suffolk men's hockey team came back to take down Becker, 4-3, Saturday night at Fidelity Worcester Ice Center. The win secured the CCC regular season series sweep for the Rams over the Hawks.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk improved to 8-8-2 on the year and 5-6-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action after sweeping Becker. At 5-6-1 in league action, the most victories for the Rams in CCC play since the conference began last season, the blue-and-gold currently sits in sixth place. 

Behind back-to-back four-goal outings, Suffolk is now averaging 2.83 goals per game as the team has put away 51 through 18 contests this season. A trio of Rams each has seven points to their credit in sophomore Brian Brooks, junior Mikhail Bryan and freshman Joseph Mortillaro. Brooks leads all skaters with 17 points thanks to a team-best 10 handouts. Bryan is third on the squad with 12 points behind rookie Matt Bucher's 13 on five strikes and eight helpers. Mortillaro sits third with three setups. 

Michael Levine is the standard in net for the Rams. The sophomore has 494 saves in 16 games played this season for a .923 save percentage of 2.75 GAA.

COLONELS CATCHUP
Thanks to a hat trick from Zachary White, Curry edged No. 10/11 Salve Regina, 3-2, Saturday to move to 12-6-1 overall and 6-5-1 against conference competition, which is good for fifth in the standings. 

The Colonels have 73 goals through 19 outings for 3.84 goals per game led by White's 12. He is the lone skater to put away double digit pucks this season for Curry. Adam Valadao, meanwhile, paces the pack in points with a team-high 16 assists and eight strikes for 24 points. White is second on the squad with 22 as the junior has setup 10 shots to go along with his 12 strikes. Michael Snow (5g, 14a) and Shane Tracy (6g, 13a) are tied for third on the team with 19 points apiece. 

Three different netminders have seen time between the pipes for the Colonels. Freshman Frank Cundiff is the go-to for Curry, playing and starting 13 contests. He brings in a 3.17 GAA and a .890 save percentage. Classmate Cody Murch owns a team-best 2.49 GAA and a .897 save percentage in five appearances.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk trails the all-time series with Curry, 5-23-2. Last season, the Colonels swept the series with the Rams by scores of 7-4 and 6-3. The blue-and-gold looks for its first victory over Curry since a 3-2 win over the Colonels Nov. 14, 2015.
