BOSTON – The Suffolk men's hockey team remains at home and in non-conference action Saturday, Jan. 6 when the Rams welcome Franklin Pierce to Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
With 5:59 remaining in regulation, Joseph Mortillaro lit the lamp to level the playing field and force overtime, but neither team put away the puck in the extra session as the non-conference contest between Suffolk men's hockey and Salem State ended in a 2-2 tie Wednesday night at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With the stalemate Wednesday night, Suffolk moved to 6-6-2 on the season. 

The Rams are potting 2.71 goals per outing paced by Joseph Mortillaro's seven strikes. The freshman is tied for third on the team in points with eight along with junior Mikhail Bryan who has split goals and assists with four each. Brian Brooks and Matt Bucher both own 11 point stat lines to lead Suffolk's offense. Brooks boasts four goals and a team-best seven helpers, while Bucher has five markers and six assists to his credit. 

Michael Levine has been a staple in between the pipes for Suffolk this season. The junior netminder brings in 2.56 GAA and a .932 save percentage as he has stopped 399 of the 428 shots he has faced this year.

RAVENS REVIEW
Franklin Pierce has been winless through its last seven games including an 11-6 setback at UMass Dartmouth to wrap up 2017 action. The Ravens, who are 2-9-1 this season, will take the ice for the first time in 2018 Saturday night and look for their first victory since Nov. 17, 2017. 

As a team, Franklin Pierce has found the back of the net 30 teams with Alex Lester pacing the offensive attack. The sophomore forward has eight goals to his credit and six assists to be the lone Raven with double digit points at 14. Nicholas Fotiu and Cameron Shepardson sit second on the squad with identical stat lines of two markers and six helpers. 

A quartet of goaltenders have defended the pipes for Franklin Pierce this season. Senior Tom McGuckin has seen the most action and brings in a 1-6-1 record with a .861 save percentage and a 4.36 GAA. Austin Christopher took home the other win for the Ravens as McGuckin's classmate sits 1-2-0 on the season with a 5.47 GAA and a .854 save percentage.
