CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – The Suffolk's men's hockey team rallied off three goals in the second-period to hold off Wentworth 5-2 on Saturday night inside Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first period behind great defense and net minding on both ends of the sheet, Suffolk took a 3-0 lead in the second period. The Rams took advantage of the Leopards in the box as they scored just seven seconds into the action with Jack Kelly striking on the man-up advantage. With the frame approaching the midway point, Suffolk struck for the second time on the power play, this time with Mikhail Bryan finding the back of the net. Nicholas Mosher punctuated Suffolk's three-goal period with a goal just 14 seconds after Bryan's. 

The Leopards put themselves on the scoreboard three minutes into the third with Ethan Weiss narrowing the hosts lead to two, 3-1. Six minutes later, Bryan used a beautiful set up from Matt Bucher and Brian Brooks to regain a three-goal cushion for the blue-and-gold. Wentworth did not let up, however, and trimmed the margin back to a pair with Paul Filippone, III's goal at the 12:40 minute mark. In a late attempt for a comeback, the Leopards pulled Ryan Hubbard from in between the pipes. Bucher took advantage of the empty net instead and sealed up the 5-2 CCC victory for Suffolk. 

GOALS

• Kelly's wrist shot opened up the scoring frame early into the second period off a power play with seven seconds removed from the clock in the second. Mosher earned the assist.
• Bryan weaved through traffic to find the puck in the air as he used a tip shot assisted by Nick Abbene and Sam Kent to find Kenny Graham's five-hole.
• Tommy Bishop found a streaking Mosher, who came flying past center ice and flicked a wrist shot in the slot for the third goal to push the lead to three with 10:47 to play in the second.
• Weiss got the Leopards on the board with an unassisted dangle 3:24 into the third period.
• Butcher and Brooks assisted Bryan, who stuck his stick out at the right time to squeeze one past the eyes of Hubbard at the 9:22 minute mark of the third.
• Filippone III responded 3:18 later off an assist from Jack McDonough and Agnus Johnston.
• Bucher snuck the puck down the ice for the exclamation point on an open net with 1:05 remaining in the contest. 

KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS

• Levine recorded his fifth win of the season behind a 27-save effort.
• Graham made 12 saves in the first 29:13 of action before being relieved by Hubbard, who finished the night with six stops. 

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• Four different Ram's scored a goal and six different Rams earned an assist.
• Wentworth held the edge in shots with 29 versus Suffolk's 22.
• Both of the Leopards goals came on the power play as the visitors went 50 percent (2-4) on the man-up opportunity, while Suffolk converted two of its nine power play chances.

NOTEWORTHY

• Suffolk and Wentworth met for the 31st time since 1999.
• The Rams split the series with the Leopards to move to 8-21-2 versus Wentworth since 1999.
• Brooks extended his point streak to nine contests. Over the stretch the sophomore has 11 points on four goals and seven assists.
• Barton scored his first career goal as a Ram.
• Bryan put up a career-high two goals to lead Suffolk's offense. The junior has now scored in back-to-back outings.
