Tucker Up for HeroSports DIII HERO Of the Week

BOSTON – Jackson Tucker of the Suffolk men's hockey team has been named a nominee for Herosports.com DIII Men's Hockey HERO of the week after supplying all of the Rams' goals in a 3-0 shutout at Becker Jan. 21. To vote for Tucker, click here

Suffolk's three goals of the game all came off Tucker's stick as the sophomore made his blue-and-gold debut in hat trick fashion. The CCC Player of the Week lit the lamp just eight seconds into the second stanza and tacked on another in the period and one more in the third to lead the Rams to victory.

Tucker, who calls Matthews, North Carolina, home, is the first Suffolk skater to put three pucks in one game since Stanton Turner found the back net three times in a 7-2 triumph over Becker Nov. 11, 2014.

Tucker and the Rams are back in action Thursday, Jan. 26 when they drop the puck in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2017 as Suffolk entertains Salve Regina at 7 p.m.
