The Suffolk University Hockey team suffered a 3-1 setback at the hands of Western New England University on Monday afternoon in ECAC Northeast action.

Junior Dan Mazzei (Tewksbury, Mass.) scored his seventh goal of the season on a Suffolk power-play late in the second period but that was the only offense the Rams could muster on Monday.

Nick Diorio and Chris Connors each scored third period goals for the Golden Bears, who improve to a 4-7 record in conference action on the season.

Suffolk drops to a 4-7-1 conference record and 7-14-1 overall mark.

With two games remaining in the regular season the Rams will look to secure a playoff spot in next week's playoff tournament. Suffolk will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host Becker College beginning at 8:40pm. Suffolk will then wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon hosting Wentworth at 4:40pm. Both games will be at Steriti Rink in the North End.
