Wentworth Holds Off Hockey, 3-2
Junior Beau Burgau (New Ulm, Minn.) scored a pair of goals as Wentworth held off a late rally to post a 3-2 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Suffolk Wednesday evening at Steriti Rink.

The visiting Leopards (6-10-2, 4-3 ECAC Northeast) built a 2-0 first period advantage on a power play tally from junior Mike Domsodi (Kirkland, Que.) and a marker with 2:07 to play in the opening frame from Burgau, who extended Wentworth's lead to 3-0 near the midway point of the second stanza with a power play goal of his own.  The host Rams (5-11-1, 2-4-1 ECAC Northeast) got on the board four minutes later on a tally that came off the stick of senior Charlie McGinnis (Hanover, Mass.), who added his second of the night with 1:51 remaining in the contest that enabled Suffolk to creep back to within one late but come no closer.

Domsodi finished with a goal and an assist in the triumph for Wentworth, which also received single helpers off the sticks of senior Andrew Yarber (Livonia, Mich.) and freshman Jake Flynn (Lino Lakes, Minn.), while freshman Simon Leahy (Milwaukee, Wis.) chipped in with a pair of assists in the setback for Suffolk, which also received single assists from senior Jon Stauffer (Landsdale, Pa.) and junior Dan Mazzei(Tewksbury, Mass.).

Junior Alex Peck (Kirkland, Que.) picked up the win in goal for the Leopards with a 21-save effort on the evening, while freshman Kevin Venturoso (Franklin, Mass.) made 29 stops in the setback for the Rams as Wentworth outshot Suffolk by a 32-23 margin for the contest.
