Chris Glionna Becomes Suffolk Hockey's All-Time Win Leaders Among Coaches

Suffolk University Hockey Coach Chris Glionna earned his 66th career win on Saturday evening with a 4-1 victory over SUNY-Brockport. The win makes Glionna the all-time wins leader among Suffolk University Hockey Coaches in program history as he surpasses Bill Burns' (1991-96) previous total of 65.

Glionna's Rams are currently 5-6-3 during the 2012-13 season. The 1995 graduate of Suffolk University has been at the helm of the Rams bench since the 2004-05 season as he boasts a career record of 66-127-17. He was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast Hockey Coach of the Year during the 2009-10 season.

In nine seasons, 15 of Glionna's players have earned recognition with All-Conference honors from the ECAC Northeast. Their success has also come off the ice as well as Glionna has directed a Toys for Tots drive organized by his players over the past eight seasons. The past two seasons have also seen the Rams skate for difference causes. In 2010-11 the Rams donned pink game sweaters to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, while last season Suffolk donned army fatigue styled sweater as they raised donations for local veterans.
