Bernard Sandford Named Assistant Coach for Upcoming Season

The Suffolk University Hockey team has announced that Bernard Sandford will serve as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

Sandford comes to the Rams with plenty of coaching experience at the collegiate level as he served as an assistant coach at the University of Maine- Orono from the 1996-1998 seasons.  He later went on to serve as associate head coach for the Boston Bulldogs Junior Hockey Club for three seasons, while previously working as the head hockey coach at Bridgton Academy.

Sandford played collegiately at Norwich University, graduating from the nation's oldest private military college in 1993 after four seasons. Sandford was a captain for the Cadets during his senior season in 1993, and also played lacrosse at Norwich. While there, Sandford earned rank of First Lieutenant in Corps of Cadets.
