BOSTON, Mass.--  Freshman Daniel Kaufmann (Scotch Plains, N.J.) notched a goal and an assist, while sophomore Matt Cooper (Perrysburg, Ohio) stopped all 22 shots he faced to lead Johnson & Wales to a 3-0 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Suffolk Sunday evening at Walter Brown Arena.

Junior Jeremiah Ketts (Foristell, Mo.) gave the visiting Wildcats (3-2-1, 2-0 ECAC Northeast) the only goal they would need 8:39 into the middle stanza after converting passes from junior Domenic Recchia (Sterling Heights, Mich.) and sophomore Max Carter (Royal Oak, Mich.), and sophomore Jason Pietrasiak (Shrewsbury, Mass.) extended that margin to 2-0 midway through the final period on feeds from Recchia and Kaufmann, who closed out the scoring with 1:18 remaining in the contest on a set-up from sophomore Ryan Kelly (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).

Cooper made 12 of his saves in the second period in notching the shutout for Johnson & Wales, while senior Jeff Rose (Collinsville, Conn.) made 29 stops in net in the setback for the host Rams (3-3, 1-1 ECAC Northeast) as the Wildcats outshot Suffolk by a 32-22 margin for the contest.

Suffolk travels to Hooksett, N.H. on Tuesday evening to take on Southern New Hampshire in a non-league outing that faces off at 7:30 p.m., while Johnson & Wales will be idle until Sunday, December 5th when the Wildcats head to Newport, R.I. to take on Salve Regina in an ECAC Northeast contest that begins at 4:45 p.m.
