Goalie Jeff Rose Picks Up ECAC Award for Third Straight Week

For the third consecutive week, junior goaltender Jeff Rose (Colinsville, Conn.) was named Goalie of the Week by ECAC Northeast Hockey.

Rose picked up two more wins on the week to bring his season total to 11. The Rams defeated Becker College on Wednesday evening before finishing the regular season with a 3-2 win over Western New England College on Sunday.  Rose made 26 saves in Wednesday's victory and stopped 31 shots, including 15 in the third to help the Rams clinch the third-seed in the upcoming ECAC Northeast Hockey Playoffs.

Rose finished the season setting the Suffolk single season goals against average record with a 2.66 GAA. His 2.66 goals against average currently ranks him 37th among all NCAA Division-III goalkeepers. Rose also maintains a .919 save percentage, which is the best any Suffolk goaltender has had and is currently ranked 14th among all NCAA Division-III players. Over the past three season Rose has won 31 games between the pipes for the Rams.

The Rams wrapped up the regular season with a 12-10-3 overall record, finishing in third place in the ECAC Northeast standings with a 8-4-2 conference record. The Rams will host the ECAC Northeast Hockey Quarterfinals on Sunday, February 28 at Steritti Memorial Rink in Boston's North End. Faceoff is set for 6:25pm. The ECAC Northeast Hockey playoff seedings will be announced later this week.
