Moore, Rose Garner ECAC Northeast Weekly Awards

Boston, Mass. - After winning their first ever Cod Fish Bowl title senior forward Niles Moore (Columbus, Ohio) and junior net minder Jeff Rose (Collinsville, Ct.) garnered weekly awards by the ECAC Northeast for the week of January 4.

Rose was named Goaltender of the Week for his performance. Rose stopped 83 of 87 shots he face in the two day holiday tournament including making 52 saves in the championship game, a 2-1 victory over host Umass.-Boston. He was named Tournament MVP.

Moore earned Player of the Week honors after scoring three goals in Suffolk's two games last week. Moore was also named to the Cod Fish Bowl All-Tournament team after scoring the game-winner in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the University of Southern New Hampshire. It is the second time the forward has earned recognition this season by the ECAC Northeast as he was previously named to the Weekly Honor Roll on November, 23. He also earned All-Tournament team honors this season at Becker College's Ice Breaker Tournament to start the year. Moore currently leads the Rams with 9 goals on the season and is tied for 6th among goal scorers in the ECAC Northeast.

Freshman Andrew Flynn (Stamford, Ct.) was also honored by the ECAC Northeast this week as he was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season. Flynn scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's championship game scoring a dazzling goal from his knees with :02 seconds remaining in the second period. Flynn was earlier named to the Weekly Honor Roll this season on November 23.

The Rams will be back on the ice on January 12 as they travel to Portland, Me. to take on the University of Southern Maine. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
