Hockey Team Participates in Boston Public Schools Special Olympics.

On Tuesday February 9, members of the Suffolk University Hockey team participated in the Boston Public Schools Special Olympics hosted by Emmanuel College. Senior captain Nick Davis (Pittsburgh, Penn.), junior Tom Coulstring (Whitman, Mass.) and freshman Andrew Monesi (Simi Valley, Calif.) joined Assistant Coach Greg Fowke in the day-long floor hockey tournament serving as referees.

Coach Fowke, a former hockey player at Suffolk ('95) currently works in the Boston Public Schools system as a Physical Education Teacher.

The Suffolk Univerity Hockey team also participated in this year's Toys for Tots drive partnering with the Suffolk University Police Department. The Rams were able to garner over fifty donations during their campaign at a home game on December 6.

The Rams wrapped up the regular season with a 12-10-3 overall record, finishing in third place in the ECAC Northeast standings with a 8-4-2 conference record. The Rams will host the ECAC Northeast Hockey Quarterfinals on Sunday, February 28 at Steritti Memorial Rink in Boston's North End. Faceoff is set for 6:25pm. The ECAC Northeast Hockey playoff seedings will be announced later this week.
