Three Rams Earn ECAC Northeast Hockey Weekly Honors

After one of the best weeks in program history, the Suffolk University Rams had three players earn weekly honors by the ECAC Northeast Hockey League.

Junior forward Paul Weisser (Londmeadow, Mass.) was named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week. Weisser scored twice, including the game-winner converting on a Rams power play in Thursday's 4-2 victory over 13-th ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology. Weisser also added a goal in Saturday's 7-1 win over  NicholsCollege to bring his season total to 6 goals, 3 of which have been game-winners.

For the second week in a row junior goaltender Jeff Rose (Colinsville, Conn.) was named ECAC Northeast Goalie of the Week. Rose stopped 45 of 48 shots he faced on the week picking up 2 more victories between the pipes for the Rams. Rose made 31 saves in the Rams' victory on Saturday over Nichols bringing his season win total to nine.

Freshman Jason Molle (Stoneham, Mass.) was named to the ECAC Northeast Weekly Honor Roll. Molle had a goal and assist in Suffolk's two games this week, both victories over Wentworth (4-2 on Thursday) and Nichols (7-1 on Saturday).

The Rams round out the regular season this upcoming week with hopes of securing a first-round playoff home game. Suffolk will be on the road Wednesday evening taking on Becker College, before wrapping their 2009-10 regular season finale against WNEC on Saturday at 7:00pm.
