BOSTON, Mass.-- Sophomore Mickey Dudley (Douglas, Mass.) netted a pair of goals to lead UMass Dartmouth to a 4-1 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Suffolk Wednesday evening at Walter Brown Arena.

Dudley notched both of his markers in a 3:07 span midway through the second period to snap a scoreless draw and give the visiting Corsairs (12-5-1, 8-1 ECAC Northeast) the only goals they would need, as senior Nick Paquin's (Warwick, R.I.) tally with 5:56 to play in the middle stanza staked UMass Dartmouth to a 3-0 advantage after 40 minutes of action. Senior John Rocchio (East Greenwich, R.I.) netted the lone goal of the evening 5:28 into the final period of play for the host Rams (4-11-2, 3-5-1 ECAC Northeast), while sophomore Billy Manning (Stoughton, Mass.) notched the final UMass Dartmouth goal of the night with 1:38 remaining to account for the final score.

Freshman Giancarlo Capodanno (Mountainside, N.J.) added two assists in the win for the Corsairs, who also received single helpers off the sticks of juniors Aaron Blades (Chino, Calif.) and Matt Serino (Saugus, Mass.), sophomore Joe Hill (Newburyport, Mass.) and freshmen Shawn Manning (Stoughton, Mass.) and Mike Owens (South Boston, Mass.), while senior Bill Galvin (Canton, Mass.) collected the lone assist on Rocchio's goal for Suffolk.

Junior Jon Dryjowicz-Burek (Ludlow, Mass.) stopped 24 of 25 shots to pick up the win in goal for UMass Dartmouth, while junior Bill Gilbert (Forestdale, Mass.) made 36 saves over the final 58-plus minutes of action between the pipes for Suffolk as the Corsairs outshot the Rams by a 41-25 margin for the contest.

Suffolk hosts Stonehill in an ECAC Northeast outing on Saturday evening at Walter Brown Arena beginning at 7:15 p.m., while UMass Dartmouth heads to Fitchburg, Mass. on Saturday evening to take on Fitchburgf State in an ECAC Northeast match-up that faces off at 7:00 p.m.
