Kyle Cook Named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week

Boston, MA -- For the second time in as many weeks, senior Kyle Cook (Chino Hills, CA) has named as the ECAC Northeast's Player of the Week. Over the past two weeks the Rams have won all four games and jumped the standings currently sitting in 8th place for the last spot in the ECAC Northeast Hockey playoffs. Cook has had a hand in all four victories.

In the past week Cook netted a hat trick and added an assist as the Rams were victorious over Plymouth State 5-2. Cook came back on Saturday adding two more assists in Suffolk's 4-3 victory over Nichols College.

Heading into the final week of the season, Kyle has 13 goals and 15 points for a Rams' best 28 points. Four of his goals have been game winners.

On February 12th, Kyle was also named a semi-finalist for the Annual Joe Concannon Award handed out to New England's Best American-Born Division III Hockey Player.

Teammate Jeff Rose (Collinsville, CT) was once again recognized for his outstanding play by the ECAC. The sohomore goaltender was named to the ECAC Northeast Weekly Honor Roll for the week. Rose picked up two wins on the week, stopping 51 shots in 2 games. Rose was brilliant in net making 29 saves in 4-3 win over Nichols on Saturday. Jeff was named ECAC Goalie of the Week on February 10.

Suffolk is back in action Tuesday night as they travel to Curry College to take on the Colonels before rounding out regular season on Monday (2/23) at Southern New Hampshire.
