BREWSTER, Mass. – Suffolk men's golf claimed 13th at the 89th New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships over the weekend at Captains Golf Course.
The Rams finished the two-day regional event with a 637 (+61) to take 13th in the 22-team field. Endicott won the tournament with a 569 (-7). Bates and Husson shared second with a 606.
Hartford was just outside the podium with a 607. While Roger Williams rounded out the top five with a 608.
Vijay Sakuru shared 27th with Wentworth's Garrett Kendall. Suffolk's senior had a 36-hole card of 155.
Jake Zirlin tied for 39th with a 157.
Christopher Sinopoli shot an 81 on each day of action to share 58th.
Trey Connolly took a share 63rd in his NEIGA debut with a 164.
Jonathan Donovan rounded out the Rams on the course with a 167, good for share of 76th.
Suffolk turns its attention to the Conference of New England Championships, which are on tap Oct. 29-30 at the Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
