Bedoya Montero Represents Men’s Golf on All-CCC Second-Team

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Pablo Bedoya Montero of the Suffolk men's golf team picked up All-CCC Second-Team honors, the conference office announced Friday afternoon.

The freshman from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, joins an elite list of Rams to be recognized by the league becoming the first student-athlete to earn the feat in the CCC era and fourth ever with just a trio of men's golfers earning the recognition throughout Suffolk's tenure in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Bedoya Montero is the first all-league golfer since Owen Boggini earned his place on the All-GNAC team in 2018. 

Bedoya Montero picked up the recognition after standing out on Suffolk's team card at the 2021 CCC Championships. The 5-foor-8 business major shot a 160 over the two-day event at the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club April 25-26 to share 12th at the conference championship, which had a field of 39 participants.

In addition to his showing on the title links, Bedoya Montero was a consistent in Suffolk's line-up in its two invitational leading up to the league meet.
