Men’s Golf Concludes Fall at 84th NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. – The Suffolk men's golf team capped off one of the most impressive seasons in program history at the 84th New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships where the Rams placed 18th in the field of 23 teams at the Captains Golf Course. 

Suffolk put together a team total of 668 with a 337 day-one, Starboard Course total combined with a 331 Port Course card to claim 18th. Babson took home the title with an impressive team score of 613, one stroke ahead of runner-up Williams. 

Demetrois Stamoulis led the way for the blue-and-gold golfers as the junior from Manchester, New Hampshire was 23 over the 148 par with a 167 to finish in the middle of the 114 field with a share of 72nd.   

Andrew Harper and Elias Sachs were not far off their classmate's finish as they placed in a tie for 75th with a 168 each. Harper shot an 89 on day one and put up an impressive 79 on the second day of action, while Sachs was consistent with 84s on Sunday and Monday, respectively. 

Owen Boggini tied for 81st with a card of 169, while Stephen Ferrante shot two strokes behind Boggini to share 84th.
