WARWICK, R.I. – Suffolk men's golf put together its best showing at the GNAC Championships since 2014 with a sixth-place thanks to a shooting 640 over the weekend at the Valley Country Club hosted by Rhode Island College.

Johnson & Wales maintained its day one 11-stroke lead and built on it, carding a collective 601 to secure the conference crown. Tournament host and favorite RIC finished second thanks to a 620 with UMass Dartmouth and Saint Joseph's (Maine) each putting together scores of 621 to tie for third. Southern Maine's 626 was good for fifth and rounded out the top five.

Suffolk's final four golfers were all separated by six points to take a spot from 24 through 31.

Demetrious Stamoulis finished inside the top 25. After starting the competition with a 74, the sophomore finished the second day with an 87 to complete the competition with a 161, good for a 24th-place tie.
