Dave Lang has been a dedicated member of the collegiate basketball landscape since lacing up for Harvard from 1985-89 and joined Jeff Juron's staff as an assistant coach in the spring of 2025.
After a successful career in Private Equity, Lang transitioned his focus to college basketball. He was on the sidelines at Babson College from 2017-2024. His journey reflects a commitment to player development and a track record of contributing to team success.
During his tenure with the Beavers, Lang played a vital role in the program's consistent excellence. He was part of a coaching staff that guided Babson to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including bids in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also helped Babson achieve dominance within its conference, as the team captured the NEWMAC Championship in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024.
Lang's specific responsibilities at Babson included player development, recruiting, scouting opponents, assisting with game planning and execution, and helping players in their career development. A power forward/center as a player at Harvard, he was responsible for development at the same positions with the Beavers.
Lang splits time from Lexington to Harwich Port on Cape Cod, where he is an avid fisherman. He has been married for over 33 years to his wife Heather, and they have four children together, all of whom were successful college student-athletes.
Lang continues to purse varied business and non-profit ventures, including investments in companies like Sentrex Health and Lexington Medical. He was formerly Chairman of Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
