KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Keenan Robertson of the Suffolk men's basketball team added more hardware to his shelf as he was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 2 First-Team, the organization announced.
Robertson is the first known Ram in program history to receive the distinction from the coaches' association.
It is the second all-region honor of Robertson's career as he garnered all-region recognition from D3hoops.com All-Region II Second-Team earlier today.
The accolades come behind a senior season in which Robertson, a native of Rochester, New York, was the 13th-best scoring per game in the country at a 22.8 points per game clip. That offensive output, the best in region II was behind a 56.4 connection rate from the floor that included a 42.9 conversion rate from 3-point range.
The 6-foot-5 small forward poured in double figures in all, but one of Suffolk's 28 games this season. He produced 18 20-point performances, six 30-plus point outings and a 43-point game in the Conference of New England (CNE) Semifinals at Endicott, Feb. 27. That effort remains 15th on the single-game list in DIII this year.
Defensively, he grabbed a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game.
Robertson was a main cog to Suffolk's second straight CNE Championship contest run and the Rams' first-ever 20-win season.
He is one of four CNE student-athletes to make the list. Endicott's Marcus Montagnino joined Robertson on the first-team in District 2, while Western New England's Tim Restall made the second-team in that District. Roger Williams Mac Annus was named to District 1's second-team.
On top of his all-region selections, Robertson was named to the All-CNE First-Team for the third time in as many years and in his collegiate career. He is the first-ever Ram to have three all-league first-team accolades in program history.
