HOW IT HAPPENED
Down 5-2, Robertson took control for Suffolk and went on a 10-2 run of his own before Nick Verdile swished a triple to give the Rams a 15-7 lead five minutes into the action.

The Rams kept their feet on the gas pedal and managed to lengthen their lead to double figures at the midway point of the opening half, 29-19.

After Nathan Brinkman made a trey for the Leopards, the blue-and-gold outscored Wentworth, 14-2, to build a 19-point advantage, 43-24, with 4:15 to go before halftime.

The Leopard charged back and managed to slice the gap down to 12, 45-33, at the 1:41 mark. Yardemian took over for Suffolk as the grad student floor general scored the final four points of the frame to send the Rams into the locker room with a 16-point cushion, 49-33.

Back-and-forth action got the second stanza underway and Suffolk slowly stretched its lead to 20-plus points. A quick 7-0 Rams run that featured a trey from Devin Dzikas and four points from Yardemian pushed the margin to 26, 71-45, with just under 13 minutes left on the clock.

It was cruise control for the Rams from there as they did not let the Leopards to get closer than 23 the rest of the way.
