BEVELRY, Mass. – Keenan Robertson of the Suffolk men's basketball team was selected as the Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week following a 29.0 point per outing in which he shot 71.4 percent from the field with 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as well effort in a 2-0 week for the Rams, the league office announced.
Robertson, a senior from Rochester, New York, started the week with 21 points, four boards, and four helpers in the decisive 9-264 win over the University of New England. Four dates later, the small forward supplied a personal-best 37 points on a 14-for-19 showing from the floor to go along with six boards and two handouts in the 93-81 triumph over Roger Williams. The 37 points mark his third 30-plus point game of the season, sixth of his career and is the most points poured in by a Ram since Thomas Duffy notched 39 in a 94-91 loss to Maine Farmington Nov. 18, 2018.
It is the third time this season that Robertson collected the conference's best player over a seven-day stretch title. It is Robertson's seventh career weekly nod, sixth time he was named the league's player of the week. He is the only Ram with multiple weekly nods in a single season and the three weekly accolades in a single year from the CNE (formerly CCC) are a program record. The three awards are the most by a Ram since Brendan Mulson grabbed four Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week Nods in 2017-18.
Robertson and the Rams ride a four-game win streak into the midweek match at Gordon Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
