BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball hits the road for the first time in 2024-25 Tuesday, Nov. 12 when it visits Salem State for a 5:00 p.m. contest.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's basketball pulled the curtain back on its 79th season in the win column as it edged Maine Farmington 78-75 Saturday afternoon at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The trio of Keenan Robertson, Nick Verdile and Danny Yardemian all produced double figures in scoring to pace the Rams to victory.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk started its season in the win column for the eighth straight season with a 78-75 triumph over Maine Farmington.  

Keenan Robertson was a two-way player in game-one with a team-high 22 points and eight boards. Nick Verdile had a standout showing with 19 points off an impressive 6-for-12 showing from 3-point land. Danny Yardemian was an offensive force with 16 points and eight dimes. Jake Gomez (9 rebounds, four points) and Cole LeVangie (6 rebounds, 6 points) were instrumental to the first win of the year as well.  

VIKINGS VIEW
Salem State started its year with an 89-64 triumph over Colby Sawyer to carry a 1-0 ledger into Tuesday's night.  

Tyrese Rho and Omri Merryman anchored the Vikings scoring in the victory. Rho produced 29 points behind a 10-for-15 showing from the floor and a 7-for-12 effort at the line, while Merryman provided 26 points on a 9-for-12 shooting performance that included a 6-for-8 effort from downtown. Liam Byrne had an all-around outing with eight points, six boards and six blocks. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• The Suffolk, Salem State series dates back to 1969. Since then, the Rams and Vikings have tangled 22 times. 
• The blue-and-gold evened the all-time series in the 2022 opener at 11-11.
• Suffolk handled the Vikings in the last meeting, Nov. 12, 2022, 105-65. 
• The blue-and-gold has coupled back-to-back wins together over SSU. It is the first time Suffolk bested the Vikings in two straight meetings since Jan. 25, 1979 and Jan. 22, 1981.
