BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball is in store for back-to-back battles as the Rams host Rivier at Emerson's Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m., before heading to Emmanuel Thursday, Feb. 6 for a 5 p.m. tip-off.

LAST TIME OUT
Every player contributed with a trio of student-athletes providing double digits to help Suffolk men's basketball defeat No. 19 Albertus Magnus for the first time in seven years as the Rams bested the nationally ranked Falcons, 81-68, Saturday night at Cousens Gym.

RAMS REVIEW
Suffolk looks to bring momentum off of the 81-68 win over Albertus Magnus from Saturday into this week. With the regular-season winding down, the 10-9 overall Rams currently are seventh-place in the playoff picture with a 2-3 GNAC record.  

A trio provides double figures in scoring to help Suffolk produce 76.9 ppg. Nate Hale's 12.3 ppg leads the way with Thomas Duffy and Max Bonney-Liles providing 10.9 ppg and 10.0 ppg, respectively.  

Brendan Mulson's 6.1 rpg paces the Rams 34.2 rpg effort that sees 4.5 rpg from William Rowe and 3.8 rpg by Jarret Byrne

RAIDERS RUNDOWN
A six-game skid put Rivier at 3-15 on the year and 0-5 versus conference competitors. 

Issaiah Chappell is the leader on both ends of the hardwood with 21.8 ppg and 4.0 rpg. Pharaoh Davis helps out offensively and defensively as well with 10.8 ppg and 3.9 rpg with Chance Eason-Jones chipping in 3.9 rpg as well.  

As a team the Raiders score 69.6 ppg and grab 32.8 rpg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk extended its all-time series lead with Rivier to double figures, 24-14, last year behind an 86-77 win over the Raiders. 
  • The Rams have won four in a row against Rivier. 
  • Suffolk is 5-1 against the Raiders with Jeff Juron on the bench.

SAINTS SAYINGS
Emmanuel (16-3, 4-1 GNAC) enters the weekend on a four-game win streak and will host Colby Sawyer Tuesday, Feb. 4 before battling the Rams.  

The Saints are scoring at an 88.2 ppg clip with four different players producing double digits including 18-plus points per contest from both Marcus Fox (18.6 ppg) and Emmett Riddick (18.2 ppg). Zach Crisafulli and Jack Moulder supply 13.7 ppg and 11.7 ppg, respectively, to the offense. 

Defensively, Fox anchors Emmanuel's 44.0 rpg with 9.8 rpg of his own. Crisafulli pitches in 6.5 rpg and Riddick records 4.5 rpg.  

INSIDE THE SERIES 

  • Suffolk has bested Emmanuel in four straight meetings to move to 12-24 all-time against the Saints. 
  • The Rams sport a 5-2 record against Emmanuel in the Jeff Juron era.
