RAMS REVIEW
Suffolk is off to a 3-1 start to the year, its best in the Jeff Juron era and since matching that ledger to debut 2010-11.

The Rams early success is thanks in large part to a well-balanced 81.5 points per outing offense that sees two student-athletes – Nate Hale (14.0 ppg) and William Rowe (13.0 ppg) -- in double figures. Max Bonney-Liles (9.3 ppg), Thomas Duffy (7.8 ppg) and Alex Jacovides (7.8 ppg) are consistent scoring threats as well.

Defensively, Suffolk limits its foes 74.8 ppg, outscoring its opponents by a 6.7 margin. On the glass, the Rams have been edged out more times than not, grabbing just 34.8 rebounds per contest. Brendan Mulson is the leader on the boards with 6.8 rpg with help from Jarret Byrne, who pulls down 4.5 rpg.

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina has yet to find the win column this season as it enters Saturday's showdown 0-3 and is coming off an 83-75 setback to Stevenson.

Offensively the Seahawks put up 73.7 points per game as a whole anchored by Mikey Spencer's 22.7 ppg performance. The trio of Kevin Kelly (15.7 ppg), Tyler Benjamin (10.0 ppg) and Cameron Collins (10.0 ppg) are averaging double digits also.

Spencer's 7.7 rpg pace the pack on the glass as well with Stephen Natola and Kelly pitching in 5.0 rpg and 4.7 rpg to Salve Regina's 32.3 caroms per contest effort.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk returned to the win column against Salve Regina in convincing fashion a year ago with a 95-59 season-opening win over the Seahawks in Boston.
  • The win pushed the blue-and-gold ahead in the all-time series, 13-12.
  • The Rams look to couple back-to-back wins together over Salve Regina for the first time since Jan. 19, 1999 (W, 92-74) and Nov. 17, 2000 (W, 92-89).
