BOSTON – The Suffolk men's basketball team heads to New Haven, Connecticut, Saturday, Feb. 16 to close the regular season at Albertus Magnus.

The Rams, which stand at 18-6 overall and 9-1 in league play, holds first place in the GNAC and a win Saturday afternoon will lock up the regular season conference crown for Suffolk.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's basketball team hit shots when it needed to down the stretch and played stand-up defense over the final minute to defeat Saint Joseph (Conn.), 79-77, Thursday night inside Regan Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk ran off its seventh straight victory Thursday night. The Rams' longest win streak since 1976 put the blue-and-gold at 18-6 overall and 9-1 in conference contests. Suffolk's 18th win marks the most victories since the 1975-76 (19-6) campaign. 

The Rams' 78.8 ppg offense is well-balanced and sees five figures producing double digits in Thomas Duffy (14.7 ppg), Brendan Mulson (13.5 ppg), Michael Hagopian (13.0 ppg), Alex Jacovides (11.7 ppg) and Steven DiPrizio (11.2 ppg). 

DiPrizio leads the way defensively with 7.3 rpg to anchor Suffolk's 36.8 rpg effort. Duffy and Mulson are also consistent contributors on the glass with 4.6 rpg and 3.3 rpg, respectively.

FALCONS FACTS
Albertus Magnus has found its grove as of late, winning five straight, to head into Saturday's showdown with Suffolk 16-7 on the year and 8-2 versus conference competition. 

The Falcons powerful 89.0 ppg offense sits second in the league and is backed by a trio of players in double figures; Tyreek Perkins (13.2 ppg), Jahmerikah Green-Younger (12.3 ppg) and Davon Warner (11.3 ppg). 

On the glass, Albertus Magnus grabs 42.6 rpg, the third most in the conference. Andrew Rice leads the way on the boards with with 5.9 rpg. The freshman receives help from Damian Grant (5.5 rpg) and Rayshawn Brewer (4.7 rpg).

HAGOPIAN HITS MILESTONE
In back-to-back midweek games, Michael Hagopian hit seven triples to earn his place atop Suffolk's three-pointers made his, bringing his career total to 233, displacing John Murphy's previously set mark of 227, which was set in 2007.

Suffolk, who has clinched at least the second seed in the upcoming 2019 GNAC Tournament, awaits the official release of the bracket, which is set to be announced at the conclusion of competition Saturday, Feb. 16.
