BOSTON – The Suffolk men's basketball team is back in the friendly confines of Regan Gymnasium Thursday, Jan. 24 when it entertains Saint Joseph (Conn.) at 7 p.m. The Rams and Blue Jays will meet for the first time after Suffolk's women's team takes on Anna Maria at 5 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Brendan Mulson's career night led a quartet of Rams in double figures that anchored the Suffolk men's basketball team to a convincing 93-75 victory over Lasell Wednesday night inside Regan Gymnasium.

STANDINGS SITUATION
Suffolk sits atop the GNAC standings currently with just one league loss to Regis (63-59). With a win tonight over the Blue Jays, the Rams lock up second place in the conference.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has put together a pair of six-game win streaks, which it is currently on its second of the season, to head into Thursday's tilt 17-6 overall and 8-1 against conference counterparts. 

Playing unselfish, team basketball, the Rams' 78.8 ppg offense sees five players average double figures in Thomas Duffy (14.8 ppg), Brendan Mulson (13.7 ppg), Michael Hagopian (12.7 ppg), Alex Jacovides (11.4 ppg) and Steven DiPrizio (11.0 ppg). As a team, Suffolk is shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, 38.8 percent from three-point range and 75.8 percent from the line. The Rams' field goal percentage and free throw connection rate is the second-best in the league. 

Defensively, the blue-and-gold is pulling down 37.1 rpg and outrebounds its foes by a 2.9 margin. DiPrizio anchors the attack on the glass with 7.3 rpg and receives consistent help from Duffy and Mulson, who pull down 5.0 rpg and 4.7 rpg, respectively.

BLUE JAYS BREAKDOWN
In its first season as a varsity program, Saint Joseph (Conn.) holds a 13-10 record and 4-5 league ledger under legendary coach Jim Calhoun. 

The Blue Jays produce 85.1 ppg with Chris Childs' 17.7 ppg pacing the pack. Delshawn Jackson Jr. (15.5 ppg), Mike Sagay (11.3 ppg) and Ryan O'Neill (10.2 ppg) chip into the offense as well. Noreaga Davis leads the way on the glass with 6.2 rpg with Sagay providng 5.5 rpg to USJ's 45.7 rpg effort.
