FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Suffolk men's basketball returned to the win column Saturday afternoon as a quartet of Rams provided double figures to lift the Rams over Framingham State, 79-61, inside the Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Framingham State put away the first bucket of the game then it was all Suffolk from there as the visitors put together nine unanswered points to take an early 9-4 edge and force the hosts to take a timeout.  

The Boston Rams kept their foot on the gas pedal and pushed their lead to 23-7 as Thomas Duffy buried a pair of free throws at the midway point of the opening half.  

Suffolk continued to pile on the points and went ahead by as many as 24 as Alex Jacovides hit his second trey of the day with just under one minute to play in the first frame.  

FSU scored the final shot of the first 20 minutes to send Suffolk into the locker room up 44-22.  

It was a slow second stanza for both sides as neither team found its grove offensively allowing Suffolk to remain ahead 58-38 at the 9:23 minute mark.  

The team's traded points and Suffolk kept Framingham State at a distance to easily lock up the 79-61 victory.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Michael Hagopian led the foursome as the senior registered 17 points on a 6-for-8 effort from the field, 3-for-5 showing from downtown and a 2-for-3 effort at the line. 
• Brendan Mulson contributed 16 points, shooting 50 percent (6-12) from the floor and 4-for-9 from beyond-the-arc. The sophomore led the way on the glass with eight rebounds. 
• George Grillakis added 14 points off the bench, missing just one of the six field goals he attempted. 
• Jacovides provided 10 points in a reserve effort thanks to a 4-for-5 performance from the floor and 2-for-3 effort from behind-the-arc. 
• Kevine Querusio had a well-balanced day with eight points, six rebounds and five helpers. 
• As a team Suffolk shot 52.9 percent (27-51), 40.6 percent from beyond-the-arc and 80.0 percent at the charity stripe. 
• The Rams outrebound FSU, 33-28.  

NOTEWORTHY

• Suffolk moved to 13-15 all-time versus Framingham. 
• The Rams won their second straight versus FSU to remain unbeaten all-time against Framingham in the Jeff Juron era. 
• Mulson reached double figures for the second straight game. He has contributed double digits in scoring in all, but one of Suffolk's six games this season. 
• Grillakis had a season-high 14 points and matched a personal-best with a pair of treys. 
• Jacovides pitched in 10 points for the second time in as many games he has played in.
