Suffolk improved to 13-11 on the year, which marks the most wins since going 13-13 in 2003-04. In conference play, the Rams moved to 8-7, which is the best league ledger since going 8-10 in 2012-13.

Thomas Duffy's 15.8 ppg anchors Suffolk's 70.5 ppg with Michael Hagopian and Brendan Mulson joining the sophomore in double figures with 14.7 ppg and 12.3 ppg, respectively.

Defensively, the Rams pull down 32.9 rpg with Mulson leading the way with 6.5 rpg. Dufy adds 4.6 rpg with Kevin Querusio rounding out the top three on the boards with 4.4 rpg.

To prep for Saturday's showdown, Mount Ida traveled to Anna Maria, where the Mustangs fell to the AMCATS, 102-84 to move to 10-14 on the season and a 4-11 in conference contests.

Mt. Ida's 81.4 ppg sees five Mustangs in double digits. Joey DeFillippi leads the way with 13.0 ppg with Kevin Vanderhorst's 12.3 ppg good for second. John Oliver (10.6 ppg), Errald Jordin (10.3 ppg) and Jayson Clark (10.1 ppg) all average around 10 ppg to round out Mt. Ida's top five scorers.

Vanderhorst's 8.0 rpg anchor the Mustangs on the glass with Jordine pitching in 5.5 rpg.

Michael Hagopian put on a show, scoring 37 points, to lead the Suffolk men's basketball team to a 101-86 victory over Mount Ida Jan. 27.

Suffolk trimmed Mt. Ida's all-time series lead to 11-8 in the first meeting between the conference foes earlier this season.

With one game remaining on the conference slate, Suffolk sits in sixth place in the league standings with an 8-7 record.

  • If Suffolk wins and Saint Joseph's (Maine) wins, the Rams will head to Standish, Maine, for the quarterfinals as the sixth and third seed, respectively.
  • If Suffolk wins and Saint Joseph's (Maine) loses and Lasell defeats Rivier, the Rams will visit the Lasers for the quarterfinals.
  • If Suffolk loses and Norwich wins the Rams win the head-to-head with the Cadets to take sixth, which will send the third seed, which depends on the outcome of the Lasell/Rivier matchup.

Suffolk awaits the seeding of the 2018 GNAC Men's Basketball postseason tournament.
