Men’s Basketball Enters 2016 GNAC Tournament as Seventh Seed

BOSTON –With a 67-66 victory over Lasell in the game's final second Saturday afternoon, the Suffolk men's basketball team secured the seventh seed in the 2016 GNAC Tournament, set to tip off tomorrow night across the league.

The win also earned the Rams a rematch against Lasell on Tuesday night, the two teams will meet for the second time in four days in the quarterfinal round of the tournament inside the Lasers' Athletic Center.

The Rams (8-17, 6-12 GNAC) will make their fourth straight appearance in the conference tournament and their sixth bid for the title in the past seven years.

Lasell (17-8, 14-4 GNAC) will enter Tuesday night's contest as the second seed in the tournament behind the top-seeded Wildcats of Johnson & Wales. The reigning conference champion Albertus Magnus took the third spot with Anna Maria holding the fourth. 

The three winners from Tuesday's games will meet Thursday night at the highest remaining seeded school in the semifinals, with the winners meeting in the Champion Saturday, Feb. 27. The winner will earn the GNAC's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
