LAST TIME OUT
Senior Jake Meister set a career-high with 28 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead a well-balanced Suffolk men's basketball team to its third GNAC win of the season, topping Norwich, 88-58, at Regan Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
The senior from Madison, New Jersey added five boards and three assists to his impressive point performance. Meister's lights out performance sparked a frenzy of double digit scorers for Suffolk, who snapped an eight-game skid and improved to 5-16 on the season and 3-11 in conference contests. Matt Duquette was right behind Meister as the junior forward recorded 20 points on a 9-of-11 showing to go along with one swat and one takeaway. Caleb Unni rounded out the Rams in double-figures with 13 points and the senior match Duquette in rebounds with eight.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
- Suffolk looks to build off its 30-point win on Saturday in its final four games of the season to secure a place in the GNAC playoffs. Currently, the Rams sit in a three-way tie for eighth-place with a 3-11 conference ledger and 5-16 overall mark.
- The Rams' 64.5 ppg ranks ninth amongst the GNAC, while Suffolk's points per game allowed is second. The team is shooting 41.4 percent from the field, 34.0 past the arc and 70.9 at the line.
- Matt Duquette and Jake Meister lead the way offensively for the Rams with 15.7 ppg and 15.5 ppg, respectively. Those numbers rank seventh and eighth in the league, respectively.
- Defensively Suffolk grabs 32.7 rpg, bolstered by a senior Adam Chick's 5.7.
MUST KNOWS 'BOUT THE MUSTANGS
- Mount Ida welcomes Suffolk to Newtown fresh off an 80-70 victory of the University of Saint Joseph's (Maine), its first win ever inside the Harold Alfond Center. With its season sweep of the Monks, the Mustangs improved to 11-10 overall and 7-7 in the GNAC, which puts them in a tie for fourth place in the standings.
- Five different Mustangs average double-figures, paced by Joey DeFillippi with 13.5. Ethan Dujon puts in 12.8 ppg, while Patrick McKearney, who leads the team on the glass with 7.5 rpg, chips in 12.0 ppg. John Oliver (11.3) and Jayson Clark (11.0) round out the players in green-and-white with double digits.
- The Mustangs produce the fourth-best offense in the GNAC (77.8 PPG) with the fifth-best shooting percentage (43.2).
- On the defensive end of the floor, Mout Ida grabs 37.7 rpg, which lands sixth among GNAC schools.
WE MEET AGAIN
The Suffolk men's basketball team mounted an impressive second-half comeback, but the Rams would only get as close as six points to Mount Ida as the Mustangs pulled out a 74-66 victory in GNAC action Thursday night at Regan Gymnasium.

MILESTONE MARKERS
Adam Chick and Caleb Unni will each look to cement their places in Suffolk men's basketball history this season as they climb the career ranks. Unni looks to become the 28th member of Suffolk's 1,000-point club, while the senior pair is on the cusps to eclipse the 100-game mark. Chick has appeared in 99 games, while Unni has seen the court 98 times throughout his career.
COMING UP
Suffolk comes to Regan Gymnasium for back-to-back contests. The first is set for Saturday, Feb. 13 when the Rams honor the playing careers of their five seniors before playing Rivier at 3:15 p.m.
