Sam Nwadike Named Third Team GNAC All-Conference Selection

Senior Sam Nwadike (Houston, Tx.) was a third-team All-Conference selection by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the 2014-15 Men's Basketball season.

Injuries plagued Nwadike's senior season limiting him to just 16 games. He finished averaging 20.9 points per game on the year while logging 34.5 minutes a contest. At the time of his injury Nwadike was ranked 20th in the nation among all NCAA Division-III players in scoring average, he was 14th in field goals made and 16th in free-throw attempts. Nwadike transferred to Suffolk after two seasons at Fisher College. In two seasons he scored 794 total points, averaging 18.9 in 42 total games. Nwadike was also a third-team All-Conference selection as a junior for the 2013-14 season.

Junior Jake Meister (Madison, N.J.) was named to GNAC's Sportsmanship team. Meister was Suffolk's lone player to start in all 26 games on the season. He averaged 11.8 points per game shooting at a 35.2-percent percentage from the field. Meister has a 30.7 shooting percentage from three-point land on the season making a team-high 46 shots from long-range. Meister also finished with a team-high 6.7 rebound per game average.

Suffolk finished the season with an 8-18 overall record. They qualified for the 2014-15 GNAC Tournament as the number eight seed with a 5-13 league record. Suffolk was eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual conference champion Albertus Magnus College, 108-82.
