Six players finished the afternoon with double digit totals in points scored for the Suffolk University Men's Basketball team as they defeated the New England College Pilgirms, 111-101 on Sunday afternoon.

Junior Sam Nwadike (Houston, Tx.) was Suffolk's leading scorer for the fourth time in six contests this season as his 24-point effort helped the Rams snap a four game skid.

Suffolk would then go on a 16-4 run over a three minute span that was capped off by a three point play when Nwadike struck on a layup and followed the play with a connected free-throw for a 31-28 edge. The Rams would finish the first half with a 45-43 led as Nwadike and freshman Matt Duquette (Swampscott, Mass.) paced the offense with 10 points a piece.

Suffolk would continue to maitain a steady lead throughout the second half as they were 6-for-10 as a team from three-point land highlighted by three three-pointers made by junior Matt Powers (Westwood, Mass.) who poured in 15 of his game's 20 points over the final twenty minutes of play.

The majority of the Rams shooters stayed hot in the second half as they were 23-for-31 in the period as a team as Pinard, Duquette and sophomore Adam Chick (Northbrook, Ill.) combined for an 11-for-11 shooting clip. Pinard's 5-for-5 shooting performance in the second half knocked in 10 of his game's 13 points. Duquette finished the game with 16 points, while Chick recorded 15 in the victory.

Both Pinard and Unni finished a team-high nine rebounds a piece to lead the Rams who held a 49-39 edge on the glass in the contest. Unni also scored 18 points on the day for Suffolk.
