Chick Nets Career-High 20 Points in Men's Basketball Setback


The Suffolk University Men's Basketball team fell to Bard College, 85-75 in Sunday's championship game at Connecticut College's Coaches versus Cancer Tip-Off Tournament.

Four players finished the game in double digits for scoring in the contest, including sophomore Adam Chick (Northbrook, Ill.) who scored a career-high 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.

Senior Lamar Powell (Orange, N.J.) led all scorers with 25 points for Bard as he was 10-for-15 from the floor in the contest, including an 11-point second half. Bard finished the game shooting 54-.2-percent from the field as a team in the contest as they never trailed once throughout the 40 minutes of regulation.

Junior Sam Nwadike (Houston, Tx.) netted 17 points in the contest for Suffolk, while junior Matt Powers (Westwood, Mass.) tallied 12 points. The duo were both named to the All-Tournament team as they combined for 55 points in Saturday night's victory over Western New England.

Sophomore Caleb Unni (Winchester, Mass.) scored all 11 of his points in the game from the free-throw line.

Suffolk will be back in action on Tuesday evening as they travel to Eastern Nazarene College for a non-conference showdown with the Lions at 7:00pm.
