Men's Basketball Fall In Regular Season Finale


The Suffolk University Men's Basketball team fell 78-66 on Saturday afternoon to the Anna Maria College AMCATS in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops the Rams to a 9-16 overall regular season record and 6-12 record in GNAC play. By falling today the Rams must now await results from other games across the GNAC to see if they qualify for the conference tournament that will start on Tuesday.

The Rams had three players score 13 points each; senior Justin Barall (East Hampton, Conn.), and juniors Chris Torres (Brockton, Mass.) and Matt Pepdjonovic (Quincy, Mass.).

Anthony Click led all scorers in the contest netting 20 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the field for the AMCATS who improve to a 10-8 mark in conference play and 12-13 overall mark on the season.

Anna Maria dominated on the glass and in the paint outscoring the Rams 40-24 down low while holding a 37-23 advantage in rebounds. The AMCATS also shot 61-percent as a team from the field in the game.
