Eastern scored nine of the final 11 points of the first half to break from the final  tie of the game, and in the game scored 31 points off 26 Suffolk University turnovers and totaled 23 second-chance points on  20 offensive rebounds.

Two days after shooting a combined 4-for-24 from the floor, Nick Nedwick (Irvington, NY) and Jamie Kohn (Columbia) teamed for 15-of-25 field goal shooting as all 13 players in uniform saw action in the first meeting between the programs in 15 years. Nedwick was 10-for-15 with three three-pointers, Kohn 5-for-10.

After posting its 9-2 scoring run to end the first half, Eastern outscored the Rams 26-6 over the first seven minutes of the second half to build a 27-point, 64-37 lead.  Eastern scored 52 second-half points to double Suffolk's second-half total, shooting 50 percent from the floor and 10-of-12  from the foul line. In the second half, Nedwick scored 13 points (5-of-6 FG) on the way to his season-high total of 25 points. Chris Robitaille (Canton)  had eight points (3-of-3 FG), five rebounds and two steals in the second half. In his first career start, he tied his career high with 14 points and also grabbed six rebounds and had four steals.

Hamilton Levy (Woodbury) had 13 points and a career-high nine rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench for Eastern and Kohn added 13 points and five rebounds.
